Gammasonics Radiological Calibration Facilities provide traceable calibration to the Australian National Standard for KeV and Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Research Organization - CSIRO. Additionally we provide traceability for a number of brands available such as Victoreen, Inovision, Keithley, Radcal, Unfors, PTW, RMI Gammex, RTI, etc.
Gammasonics personnel are from a broad spectrum of diciplines composed of Medical Physicist, Biomedical Engineer, Optical Engineer, Software Engineers, Software Programmers, Electrical Engineers, Nuclear Medicine, Radiographers, and supported by many Clinician from other disciplines.
The Gammasonics Laboratory processes a larger number of instruments per month than any other calibration facility in Australasia. - some as rapidly as one hour. We not only calibrate, but we also repair instruments of all industry makes and models. We service & repair units from all over the world.
Our Calibration Service & Repair facility is the largest, most modern commercial ionizing radiation calibration lab and repair facility in the Australasia.
Eleven X-ray ranges cover every client application, including constant potential, high frequency, three-phase and single-phase power sources. Our ranges have been custom-built to apply to a broad base of medical, nuclear and industrial applications.
This equipment is further utilised in our R&D to assist Gammasonics to develop New Technology.

Low & Medium Activity - Medium Energy long 1/2 life
Our Gamma calibration facility is traceable to the Australian National Radiation Standard and NIST Standard certification suitable for most survey meters, personal dosimeters, electrometers, neutron monitors commercially available. We have facilities to repair and service radiation equipment under one roof in Australasia.
A 5 meter low to medium range calibration provides automated collimation, filtration and positioning with low scatter precision. 150 mm high-density concrete ceiling assures accurate low-background calibrations. Whilst providing ultimate safety, andeliminating scatter and reducing background effects, especially important for high accuracy calibrations.
Moving the source instead of the equipment in intervals pre calculated by the computer, an electronically controlled shutter exposes the equipment to the source. We achieve precision of less than 0.5 mm.
Another advantage is that lighting is not disturbed, eliminates vibration and the error of the equipment falling outside the alignment with source. This permits Gammasonics Calibration Facility to produce through put of calibration equipment exceeding that any other calibration facility in Australasia; with higher precision and minimum error.
